THE PROJECT
Nedbank's Global Payments division operates two platforms. Forex Online, a client-facing international payments platform across iOS, Android, Web, and Mobile, enabling everyday clients to send money internationally, manage foreign currency accounts, and track payments in real time.
High-Value Payments (HVP), an internal staff-facing web platform for processing cross-border transactions where regulatory compliance and financial accuracy are non-negotiable.
GOAL
Actively collaborating across the Online Forex and HVP platforms with a keen focus on driving innovation aligned with client objectives, delivering effective product feature realisation and strategic advancement within Global Payments through meticulous research and transparent communication across cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
THE CHALLENGE
Designing across two complex platforms simultaneously, one client-facing, one staff-facing each governed by strict regulatory frameworks (ExCon, Finsurv, SWIFT). For Forex Online, translating complex international banking flows into clear, trustworthy experiences for everyday clients. For High-Value Payments, giving staff precision and speed under pressure where every field and every error state carries real monetary and legal weight.

Forex Online: Client Facing (iOS, Android, Web, Mobile): Adding recipients for international payments, GPI tracker, Outgoing payments with documents, Purpose payments, Share proof of payment, Travel Card, Foreign Currency Accounts (Open Account, Buy & Sell), Western Union, Send Money Across Africa, Branch Codes.
High-Value Payments: Staff Facing (Web): Cross Border Manual Payments (Capturing payment, Debtor, Creditor, Settlement, Routing, ExCon, Finsurv), Creditor Approval, SSI, SIM, Incoming Payments Manual, Stop and Recall.
